A starting Raider has roughly the same health as you, and does roughly the same amount of damage. You start out as a total weakling, stepping out of Vault 111. Hardcore combat balace! All weapons do a LOT more base damage, and NPC damage bonuses have been buffed, as they become stronger. Characters who spread themselves out too thin will be at a massive disadvantage. Perk selection and specialising is now very important, especially early game where every point makes a huge difference, especially in light of brutal combat-scaling (see below). You will not be able to become an expert at everything, unless you reach at least level 150 or higher. For example, all weapon-related perks (Gunslinger, Big Leagues, etc.), now have 8 ranks, instead of 5.

My mod adds way more levels to almost all perks.

Sorry.Ī lot more perk ranks! And I mean, a LOT MORE! Vanilla F4 has perks that can be relatively quickly maxed out, by the time you hit level 50, turning you into a super-god. Overpowered and useless perks have been removed/replaced with something else (Pain Train, Nerd Rage, and Mysterious Stranger). No more easy-way-outs of fights, no more chaining a bazillion crit shots. It’s still a part of the game, and you can use it, but you cannot empower it in any way, and all weapon AP cost in it has been doubled, or in the case of some weapons, tripled. All VATS-specific perks have been removed/replaced with perks that affect gameplay as a whole. So I decided to make my own mod, that tries to accomplish that. Something that would address some of the glaring issues with the vanilla game, but something that won’t completely change the way the game is played, something that will play nicely with most other mods, without the need for extensive patching of said mods. I was missing something… in between, shall we say.

You have the all-encompassing, groundbreaking mods like Horizon, which fundamentally change the game (and are mostly out of balance with many other mods out there), on the one end of the spectrum, and you have selective small-scale rebalances of weapons or perks, on the other. The selection of overhaul mods for Fallout 4 was always a bit lacking, for me.

Along with that, changes have been made to raiders and such in how they maneuver when attacking, strafing and walking.Ĭreatures such as Deathclaws now move at deadly speeds, while Supermutants now move faster in straight directions due to their sheer size, power, and muscle mass. Human NPCs have been tweaked accordingly so now you’ll pretty much be the same speed as them. Sneaking will be slower, as well as strafing, and aiming down the sight will of course significantly slow you down while on the move. Your mobility will also be affected by the type of weapon you’re holding. Going into more details, players will move slower. Immersive Movement makes movement feel more natural and suspenseful through interiors, while combat will be much more tactical due to the realistic pace that is set. This mod is for all those seeking realistic movement in their games. And it’s a must-have mod for everyone playing Bethesda’s RPG. As its title suggests, this mod changes the movements of the player, NPCs, and all creatures in such a way that would actually make sense from a biological and physical perspective. Modder ‘Zana Daniel’ has released an incredible mod for Fallout 4, called Immersive Movement.
